Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations at Brookfield

Preparations are well under way for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations at Brookfield on Friday, 6th May.

In the morning, we are looking forward to welcoming a number of special dignitaries visiting our school for a Tree Planting Ceremony and Tour of Brookfield including, the Vice-Lord Lieutenant of Derbyshire, Colonel John Wilson, Deputy Lieutenant & Lead for the Queen's Green Canopy initiative, Brell Ewart, President of the Old Cestrefeldians' Society, John Drabble and Trustee of the Old Cestrefeldians' Trust, Tony Hine.

We hope the weather is kind to us so we can continue our celebrations out on the school field with a Queen's Platinum Jubilee Picnic for students and staff from 2-3pm.

Students will have lunch as normal and then everyone will head to the school field during P5 where everyone will gather for a picnic. Each student will be asked to bring in something yummy to share with their fellow Form students.

**Please note that Brookfield are celebrating this special event in May due to exams taking place in June**
