Study Areas
When students have non-contact periods on their timetable, they can use one of the following areas to study:
Senior Library
Location: Middle floor
Open: 8 am– 3.55pm
Study Type: Silent
Resources: Wide selection of books and a suite of computers with a printer
Expectations: Mobile phones are not permitted. No eating or drinking is allowed.
Quiet Study Area (Hive)
Location: Top floor
Open: 8am - 3.55pm
Study Type: Quiet talk and group work
Resources: A trolley of laptops
Expectations: Mobile phones can be used for work related purposes or listening to music through earphones whilst studying. No eating or drinking is allowed in the Quiet Study Room. All rubbish should be placed in the bins provided.
Silent Study Room (Haven)
Location: Top Floor
Open: 8am - 3.55pm
Study Type: Silent Study
Resources: A trolley of laptops
Expectations: Mobile phones can be used for work related purposes or listening to music through earphones whilst studying. No eating or drinking is allowed in the Silent Study Room. All rubbish should be placed in the bins provided.
Sixth Form Canteen
Location: Canteen
Open: 8am-2.55pm
Study Type: Relaxed
Resources: Food and drinks at break & lunch only. Subject to catering availability.
Expectations: Mobile phones are not permitted. It is not intended that students spend all of their study periods in this area. All rubbish must be placed in the bins provided.
Picnic Benches
Location: Around the school grounds
Open: All year round but primarily in the Summer and Autumn Term (weather permitting)
Study Type: Group and independent
Resources: Fresh air
Expectations: Be aware and respectful of classes going on around you. All rubbish must be placed in bins provided. Mobile phones are not permitted.
